How I Became a Life Coach

My desire to be a life coach stems from my experience as a teacher, mentor, and advocate. As a teacher, the look in my students’ eyes when they grasped a concept or appreciated a teachable moment inspired me to want to remain a teacher in some capacity for the rest of my life, even if not in the classroom. I also have the privilege of mentoring some of my colleagues and former students, guiding them along their life path and empowering them to build their best possible lives. As Executive Director of Oklahoma Citizens for Education and an advocate in the nonprofit field, my heart goes out to those suffering. I believe it’s our civic and human duty to use our skills to improve the state of the world. Life coaching is the perfect intersection of all three things for me. I get to continue to inspire and influence while making the world a better place. I look forward to embarking on this career, and I hope you’ll join me on the journey!
