How I Became a Life Coach

My journey to becoming a life coach is rooted in a lifelong passion for learning, teaching, and helping others find meaning and purpose. Over the years, I’ve worn many hats - student, teacher, mentor, and advocate - and each role has deepened my belief in the transformative power of human connection and personal growth.

Studying philosophy and history opened my eyes to the timeless questions that shape our lives: What is my purpose? How do I find fulfillment? How do I overcome adversity? Philosophy taught me to think critically and compassionately, to seek clarity in complexity, and to challenge assumptions with curiosity and openness. History, in turn, offered perspective, revealing how individuals and societies have endured, adapted, and evolved through struggle and change.

These insights inspired me to help others navigate their life journeys. I came to see life coaching not just as a profession, but as a calling: an opportunity to walk alongside others as they pursue clarity, resilience, and a deeper sense of purpose.

As a classroom teacher, I found joy in those lightbulb moments - when a student truly got it, when a lesson became more than just a concept. That same sense of fulfillment extended beyond the classroom as I mentored colleagues and former students, helping them discover their strengths and build more intentional lives.

My work in the nonprofit space has further reinforced my belief that we each have a responsibility to use our unique gifts to impact the world positively. For me, life coaching is where all these passions converge. Life coaching allows me to continue inspiring and guiding others while contributing to a more compassionate and empowered world.

The relationships I build are at the heart of everything I do, whether in education, advocacy, or life coaching. Real change begins with connection. I believe in fostering relationships rooted in trust, empathy, and respect because it’s within those connections that people discover their strength, unlock their potential, and begin to grow.

I’m excited to begin this next chapter and honored to walk alongside others on their journey toward a more purposeful and fulfilling life. I hope you’ll join me!
